How to use a yearly reading

A yearly reading is a map of the year. Use it to decide which quarter to attempt something in and which quarter to hold. Rather than judging the year by a single score, it helps far more to see where the flow rises and where it falls.

Read it by quarter

Plan a whole year at once and it usually collapses around March. Break it into quarters with one goal each, and you leave yourself room to adjust when the flow turns. Put new starts in the rising quarters and finishing work in the falling ones. Read the month-by-month chart alongside it and you will see which month within a quarter is the hard one.

2026 is Byeong-o (丙午), a year in the sexagenary cycle where the fire element doubles — Byeong is fire and O is fire. It is read as a year of quick movement where things come into the open.
