Upright
Taking the established path serves you now. There is something to learn from a teacher, an institution or a long-standing custom, and following a tested procedure is safer than inventing one alone. It also touches formal arrangements — qualifications, marriage, contracts.
Reversed
Custom that has become empty form, or belonging that no longer fits. If the reason for following the rule has gone, it is time to step outside it — and stop measuring yourself by someone else's standard.
Advice
Ask someone who has walked it before. There is no reason to repeat their trial and error.
