A warning about wealth leaking away and losses you have not noticed.

Interpretation
The mouse quietly eats into the grain store, so it signifies money draining a little at a time. A mouse moving around the house warns of unnoticed spending or of trust quietly leaking. That said, a swarm of mice arriving carries the opposite reading in some traditions: wealth gathering.
Readings by Situation
A mouse running about the house
There is spending leaking away. Check the fixed costs.
Catching a mouse
A fortunate dream: you find the source of the loss.
A swarm of mice gathering
There is also a reading in which money gathers instead.
Advice
Audit the small outgoings and the minor promises. Large losses usually begin at a small hole.
What to Watch
Being bitten by a mouse points to money friction with someone close; avoid lending.
